Hillcrest Trust values the involvement of volunteers in our work because they help reflect the interests, needs and resources of the community we aim to serve and bring a unique perspective on all our work.
At Hillcrest Trust there are many opportunities to volunteer and gain new skills and experience. We offer a wide range of opportunities from community development, youth, administration, older people and more.
A full induction and training is provided for all volunteers. If you are interested or would like more information please contact Rosemarie on 02871 347515.
Compassionate Communities is a partnership programme with Foyle Hospice and Caw/Nelson Drive. Volunteers are asked to provide a weekly house call to residents who are housebound or isolated, to offer support and friendship. It might be as simple as going for a cup of tea, enjoying a shared interest or a trip to the community centre.
If you think you could give 1-2 hours a week to someone in need, contact Deirdre Doherty, Volunteer Coordinator, on 07841 101 932 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
